Andrew Gibbons has been a sought after Feldenkrais teacher for over two decades. Known for teaching people a more precise functional performance, his clients include world class musicians, professional athletes, and people with persistent issues of chronic muscular and joint pain, injury, movement and balance restrictions, and neurological conditions.

Andrew has taught for the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, the Doctoral PT program of SUNY Stoneybrook Medical School, for musicians in the Manhattan School of Music's wellness program and in other public programs sponsored by the NY Department for the Aging. In the 1990’s he worked as an ergonomic consultant for The New York Times, and in the early 2000’s on the faculty of Physical Therapy & Feldenkrais NYC and the Feldenkrais Institute of NY. He has also been an invited Tech Talk speaker at Google’s New York headquarters, talking about his program Avoiding the Black Hole of Computer Posture. He also contributed a chapter on working with musicians to the recent book, The Feldenkrais Method: Learning Through Movement (Handspring Publishing, 2021).

Andrew is also an Assistant Trainer working in Feldenkrais Teacher Certification Programs, including the Feldenkrais Training Academy in Seattle, WA. He is a trained classical pianist with degrees from Columbia University and the Manhattan School of Music. Since 2008, Andrew has taught the Feldenkrais Method® for the prestigious Marlboro Music Festival in Marlboro, VT where he has worked with some of the world's top classical musicians who come together for a summer of intense chamber music, professional collaboration and public concerts.
